Default activesync to xv6700 calendar issues

My client tries to sync to his brand new xv6700 from verizon. Email and contacts sync perfectly.

The calendar says it has 2200 appointments to synchronize, and it just stops at 300 to 400 msgs downloaded.

Any ideas? We have checked the logs, didnt see anything out of the ordinary, and we've tried disconnecting it from activesync and reconnecting it.

Thanks

The initial number you see, such as 2200, is an estimate. Usually it's always higher than actual. That's because with calendar when you specify a sync window (e.g. two weeks in the past) it's hard to get an accurate count without opening each calendar item which is expensive. That's because many calendar items are recurrent with exceptions and occurrence counts. So for efficiency reason we provide a best estimate to the client. For initial sync this estimate is often too high for calendar items.

Now the question is really whether you see any missing meetings on the device. If not, then it probably got every thing it should. Thanks!

Absolutely nothing is showing up on the calendar though. So its like it starts syncing and then quits, no real error message.

In that case there's probably a real issue. Best follow up is to open a support ticket so that we can look at the log.

It was operator error, my client had his calendar set to 2006, instead of 2007. The joys of remote support, even if you ask they can swear the setting is correct.

Thanks for everyone's feedback and troubleshooting ideas.
