Default Too many 0x80820001 errors

I am trying Zimbra mobile with a HP iPAQ 6315 and get a lot of 0x80820001 errors. They can all be cleared by unchecking and rechecking the sync boxes, but its getting tiresome.

Is it a known problem? I am syncing via WiFi and not GPRS (just because I have WiFi 90% of the time and its way cheaper

I upgraded to the newest bios downloadable from HP and also performed a full cold boot reset of the device.

Its says 1.11.10ENG as bios version starting up. Windows CE version 4.20.0.3, 64MB of RAM, a 1GB flash card. All self tests pass...

No strange messages in sync.log either.

When the error message appears on device, do you see that transaction hits server at all? Sometimes it's a transient connection issue. Sometimes the phone needs to be rebooted. If you see that the error messages appear right after server sending a reply to the phone, then it would be interesting to see what's in the reply. Thanks!

Normal transaction logs in sync.log. I have had connection errors but that can normally be corrected trying again. This error only clears deselecting and reselecting the items to sync in the iPAQ.

Here's the INFO lines on the log, only strange lines are the ones pointing to 'wescobedo' (thats another user, not me :

I don't see any debug lines in the sync.log. Did you disable debug in sync.log? Or maybe you removed them for privacy reasons. If it's the latter you can open a ticket with zimbra support and provide full sync.log for analysis.

Could you confirm that when you see the error on the client it coincides with server sending a response to client? Just want to see if the client somehow doesn't like the server's response. Thanks!

Were you able to resolve this issue? I'm running into the same issue (same error code) with a Samsung SCH-i830. If we uncheck and recheck the sync boxes, it starts to work again for a little time. Am I better off opening a support ticket?

I opened a ticket and got back a 'non supported in Windows CE/Mobile 2003'. I gave the iPaq to my wife, who reads her mail using IMAP with no problems, and bought a Cingular/HTC 8125 off eBay.

Sorry I cannot help you more...
