Deleting emails before a particular date

Hi

Is there any way to delete emails before a particular date?

I can search the emails before a particular date using the search builder.

But selecting emails all the time and deleting them would be a time taking process since the account is more than 2 GB.

I am deleting emails because, since my account is more than 2 GB, I could not get connected to the Outlook.

Also, I get the problem that my Firefox crashes. Not sure whether it is because the account holds more than 2 GB or due to some extension problem in the Firefox.

Have you filed an enhancement request in bugzilla? I was actually thinking today this would be a great thing to have. I work in a university and students come back after summer with hundreds of unread messages. It would be nice for them to be able to search a bunch and delete them at once. If you don't file one, I will.

I suggest you vote for it, the more votes the better chance it will be picked up sooner.

The general case is that we need a way to select all the results of a particular search, rather than just the ones that are visible, so that any action (delete, flag, move, mark read, etc) may be applied to them en masse. Since a folder is a search, you could then apply an action to everything inside a certain folder.
