[SOLVED] Basic Resources Question

Using Zimbra 5.01 OSS in a k-12 environment and have some basic questions about using and scheduling Resources. If I create a specific resource, anyway I could have the 'appointments' for that resource listed on same shared calendar as the other resources that I have-like having a 'master' general office calendar (which I have) that would display also the scheduled resources?
Any documentation on using Resources in Zimbra?

No to both. :-(

If you upgrade to 5.0.5 -- which is relatively quick and painless, and fixes a lot of small bugs -- then you can reliably mount the resource calendars on your account and use the checkboxes to view multiple calendars either side-by-side or as day/week/month overlays. You can log on to the resource and make its calendar "public," or use a group if it needs to be more fine-grained. The zmmailbox command line (but not the web interface) also allows granting access to "all," which means any logged-on user.

Here's some issues to be aware of. Most are reasons that you need to upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.0.5, but a couple are open discussions.

Bug 15770 - Global Admin control for Zimbra shared resources (and subscription) -- folders, calendar, address book, task, project, documents
Bug 6410 - departmental calendar grouping
Bug 25992 - deleting/accepting single instance of a recurring appt. applies action for entire series
Bug 25497 - Extra calendars are enabled randomly
Bug 26833 - Shared Calendar data is not visible
