Using Virtual domain name in Outlook

Hi Guys,

silly question I'm sure but I can't figure this out!

I rarely use Outlook myself but of course all the Users do.
Thing is, we want to change our main email domain to start using one of our secondary domain names as the primary. I have aliases set up obviously and have changed my mail identity in Zimbra to use one of the aliases as my main email address but how do I do this in Outlook?
I'm sure there is a simple answer but can't put my finger on it! Outlook just uses the main domain name as the prefix for Users as far as I can see, how do I get around this?

For example, I was russs@maindomain.com but now need to be russs@virtualdomain.com, works fine through Mail Identities in Zimbra but when sending through Outlook mail still arrives addressed from russs@maindomain.com.

We have a similar setup and we use the "Canonical address" setting to specify exactly what address we want as the users email.

I think the outlook profile stores the email address and if you change the address on the Zimbra server it does not seem to change straight away on the outlook setup. I think you have to setup the outlook profile again for it to get the new address. Not 100% on on this so maybe someone can confirm this, or maybe there is a easier way to get the new email address in outlook.

Currently, in ZCO, you have to create a new profile to pick up server changes for display name and account name (email addr). Bug 16914 concerns display name. But 17435 concerns account name. Currently, you can't authenticate in ZCO if the account name changed. These bugs should be fixed soon.
