You need to add
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 directory to the
PATH environment variable.

Start->Settings->Control Panel->System->Advanced tab
Click on Environment variables.
Find PATH
Edit
add this directory to the end.
Make sure that it is separated by ';' from previous directory.
I mean directories in the PATH variable are separated by ';'

That maybe caused by not clear upgrade of Outlook 2003 by Outlook 2007.

So try clean install of Outlook 2007.

There may be a problem when upgrading from 03->07 since MS has made some changes to the MAPI subsystem. After you upgarde, run the 5.0 ZCO installer again (repair or uninsta/install). If after you upgarde ZCB you still have problems, create a new proflie (control panel->mail).

Default more of the same....issues.

I dont know about the upgrade matter. While I agree that upgrading vs. clean installs is more likely to cause problems, 1 out of the 3 machines I upgraded had absolutely no issues. The other 2 were action-packed with them.

PC1: Will create a zimbra profile, but when syncing, outlook (during sync) throws the object not found error (the one I mentioned above). So PC1 can only receive mail, not send.

PC2: Will not allow the creation of a zimbra profile, it provides an error which I will attach to this post. The error gives the same directions Henry did, change the PATH string, but the details were already in the PATH string. So my workaround with that was/is to setup an imap profile temporarily, which seems to work for now.

I need to find some solutions to all these problems now. I cant imagine im the only one experiencing these problems.

Can you enable ZCO logging and post logs there or to PM.

Hi,

We're having the same issue as PC1.

This is a clean install of Win XP SP2 and Outlook 2007, ZCO 5.0.1

When opening Outlook, it seems to send/receive fine, but outlook throws up an error "The object cannot be found".

A few seconds later, it shows a balloon popup and logs a message into the Application event log which says:

---

Cannot start the reminder service. Cannot show reminders. An unexpected error has occurred.
MAPI was unable to load the information service LSMSSP.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured.

---

The correct path variable is set.

Andrew

I should add that in addition to this, I can't hit send & receive to receive mail on this PC after OUtlook has started.

We get a message that says "Task 'Zimbra - <username> - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8004010F) : An operation failed. An object cannot be found.'

Default ZCO logging

I will be able to get a copy of the log up tommorow, the PC's are in use today, but if yogel can post his log (ours seem to be similar), I would wager they would be similar for 1 of the 2 problem pc's.

This problem seems intermittent (between pc's, not uses). To test, I located a fairly outdated laptop here in the office (not in use for 128 days), so it was missing patches and such. Installed the connector previous to 5 (4.5.9). Setup a profile and it sync'd perfectly, no issues.

Installed the new connector 5.0.2 (in previous posts I mentioned 5.0.1, but it was actually 5.0.2 (sorry)) Again, it sync'd flawlessly. (This was all on Office 2003)

Next I installed Office 2007 Pro Plus, as an upgrade to the Office 2003 install. Upon finishing, it rebooted and sync'd flawlessly. Essentially the same config as the problem PC's (outlook wise, not use or other application) the laptop did not present the problems with the other PC's I have been troubleshooting.

Default Logs from crashes

Here is a log from the PC which will not allow use of a zimbra profile. It will create, but outlook will never load the account, simply crash out.

Attached is a zip with 7 or 8 log files starting at the creation of the profile, to opening outlook and crashing.

Give me the news Henry.
