Time mess everything up

Hey Forum.

I have an question about suncing the different calendar and meeting.,

I have downloaded the latest network edition and installed it on a Ubuntu server.
All this works just fine.

We're an large company with a lot of employees and in really need of an calendar sharing. That's why we've installed zimbra for test purposes. Allthrough everything is working quite well - we have an huge problem about time.

Most of the people here is using outlook (offline) and that's why the outlook connector. But there's a really problem about the time on the meeting etc etc

When calling for a meeting - it works fine - but changing the time - its start messing around with the time zones ??? Don't know why - but here's and example:

Everything in time is correct on each machine :
Machine Bios time - Zimbra's time - outlookstime ???
So when and what should I do to correct this error?

Not really shure when and where something is going wrong - And have looked and looked for at place where the users can set the time - but cannot find it anywhere???

Off course.

After a clean install - and setting up the Zimbra (Have worked and written an examination working with Zimbra earliere)

Have installed the network edition - caurse of the outlook connector.

1. Sending mails - -> works just perfect.
The problem is the syncronisation between zimbra and outlook. I have done the following things:
call a meeting from webinterface to webinterface = No problems.
call a meeting from webinterface to outlook = Time is out of sync
call a meeting from outlook to outlook = Time is out of sync.
Call a meeting from Outlook to Webinterface = no problems

I have tested it forwards and backwards on several machines and checked the time settings on all machines!!
The Laptop/PC are standing on timezone (+1 Copenhagen)
And the Zimbra are on ( +1 Europe/Berlin )
So no problems should be there . But still the time between the same meeting in outlokk/zimbra are up to 12 hours

And have search the forum here for answers but only found some there was 2 years old - but the settings was according to these replies correctly

So hopefully you'll be able to give me an good answer to this, so that the company will be that happy so they'll deside to buy it - for real

Do you create an appointment with one attendee for 1 hour or is it a recurring appointment? If recurring, whats the recurrence? What timezone is your windows machine in when you create the appointment? What version of ZCS are you using? What version of ZCO are you using?

We need the all the details to be able to reproduce the problem.

Jes - I create an meeting from scratch with another person on the Zimbra

What timezone is your windows machine in when you create the appointment?
There all on (GTM+01.00) Brussels,Copenhagen,Madrid, Paris

What version of ZCS are you using? What version of ZCO are you using?
I use (just updated today this morning to:
zcs-NETWORK-4.5.5_GA_838.UBUNTU6.tgz
ZimbraOlkConnector-4.5.5_GA_831_4.5.230.msi
Earliere was it
zcs-4.0.4_GA_457.UBUNTU6.tgz with the connector from the download page

But what I can see here - it start out in the VCalendar with the US-Pacific TIMEzone -08.00.
I have checked all the machine involved in this test are on the same timezone (GTM+01.00) allso on the server and the internal Zimbra clock is correct.

But don't know where it gets this pacific time from

Well - read the post below here !

And found out that the timesettings in the server was wrooooong
Somewhere some how my mistake - But wouldn't it be a idea during the install of Zimbra - get the timezone from the installationserver - and set the default byu that.
