Problems syncing contacts with notes

One of our customers has the following problem:

It seems that any contacts in Outlook for which there are notes attached do not initially synchronise to Zimbra.

If there is one such unsync'd contact and I remove the note it still will not synchronise that contact.

If I add a note in Outlook to a contact that is already synchronised, it will appear in the note on the Zimbra contact. But if I then remove that edit from the Zimbra contact, it will not be removed from the Outlook contact.

I searched the forums and bugzilla, but didn't find anything. Any ideas?
