Would it be helpful to have access to any server-side log files (because Spot is on hosted Zimbra)? If yes, which ones?

once again. upgraded to the latest version. still the same issue. now it's even more annoying - can't this bug be fixed at all? it's so embarrassing to send out emails where all umlauts are wrong on the recipient side

For one of the messages that's displaying incorrectly in Outlook 2007, can you please go to the web client, find the corresponding message, do a "Show Original", and attach that to a posting?

just checked the changelog of zimbra 4.5.6 => still no fix for this nasty bug. hm, i think it's time to move...

It's bug 13058 and should be in the next release of Zimbra 4.5.x
