Default Delete messages from Inbox in about certain time.

Hi, all
Has Zimbra any commands to delete some messages from Inbox in about certain time. Example, I only want to delete messages from 01/15/2007 to 02/15/2007.
Please help me!

Thanks.

Celeron,
I think Dan may have more info on this. You can pvt him.

May I ask why you posted in the Outlook Connector's Forum?

The easiest way to do this is probably to use the zmmailbox command.

First, run search "in:inbox (after:1/15/07 before:2/15/07)". (Make sure that these are actually the messages you want to delete before proceeding!) Then collect the results of that search and run deleteMessage id1,id2,id3,... where the ids are the ones returned from the search.

I'm sorry. I will learn from experience.
If my messages are very large, how must I do? I can't delete each message. I intend to write script to delete but I don't extract id into 1 file.
any solutions?

Thanks

anyone have an example of how to do this? I'd like to use this to move messages around in a large mailbox (>25GB 200K+ messages).

Post #3 has the answer to the original question asked in this thread.

I was referring to post #4. My message list is humongous and the search command pages at 1000 messages regardless of how big you set the -l option to.

Here's the sequence I tried:

Quote:
aa admin password
sm email@account.com
search -t message -l 99999999 "in:inbox (after:1/1/11 before:3/1/11)"
Regardless of how big I set that 99999999 option after -l the maximum result is 1000. What I want to get to is a list of all the message id's that match my criteria. Then, I'll move those message ids to another folder.
