    Hi All,

    I've been having this issue until I added relays through zmprov. Suddenly, all the blackberry desktop sync's worked. Now I cannot replicate this again because I don't want to mess with a live system, but maybe someone wants to test.

    I just tried with Outlook 11.8118.8122 and version 4.5.2 of ZCO, and it worked fine for me. I saw that you had a 4.0 version, but I doubt that is the problem -- I remember things working with that one also. That's a pretty old version, though -- you might want to upgrade.

    I assume you are not using message redirection (since that doesn't really work) and are just trying to sync the calendar and contacts.

    I also have several user where BB desktop crashes as soon as you touch the zimbra profile resources, except for one user that seems to work.

    It is kind a frustrating not being able to see why it crashes.

    This also fixed up at least one of my users' problems. We're using the 4.5.3 ZCO. My Treo users are still all broken, but that's a problem for a different thread.

    Default BB sync crashes

    Hello, I'm having the same issue. I used Outlook previously with an exchange server. We switched to Zimbra. I ran the outlook connector, which created a new profile in Outlook. When I launch my BB software (4.2.1.8), I go to configure the sync. When I click to configure either the calendar or contacts to sync w/ my Zimbra profile, the BB software crashes. The SW just quits. No errors or output.

    I have a screen record of this happening. I have done this on 3 computers for different users, using different BB handsets. All crash when configuring to the Zimbra profile.

    Just curious -- do you have the Redirector installed also, or just the BDM?

    Just the BDM. No redirector.

    Also, when I 'reset configuration' in BDM, I can set it up to my old exchange/outlook profile. This syncs fine. It's only when I point it to my Zimbra profile.

    I'm still verifying this, but it seems like right now, for our stuff to work, you need to have the Redirector installed. This is strange, since the redirector doesn't really work, but that's what I've found.

    When you installed the BDM, did you check the box that said BlackBerry Internet Service?

    That is correct. When I installed BDM, I selected 'Internet Service'. We get our email OTA and contacts/calendar OTW. Thanks for the help.

    I just confirmed your earlier comment. I installed the redirector, and I am now able to sync my calendar and contacts OTW. But now it's re-directing, which is bad.....I really can't have this running.
