Default Outlook connector and stopping the startup wizard

We had the Outlook connector working within our local network (outside our local network required us to reconfigure the connections to take place thru another port b/c 443 is used by another program). Then I learned that Active Sync would allow us to make the connections with Outlook without changing the port number since it functions just like an Exchange server (I am not sure if this is the case, I would like confirmation of this fact). How do I stop the startup wizard from being launched at Outlook startup? I have reinstalled Office, but the startup wizard still launched with the first execution of Outlook. When I click cancel I get this error msg "Cannot open your default e-mail folders. The information store could not be opened".

We are using the Network Edition version 8 w/ Outlook connector version 8.
