Default Attach an appointment to an E-Mail in outlook 2003

Hello together,

is it possible to attach an appoinment via attach "items" in the e-mail?

When i do that the attachment arrives as a html message and not as an appointment.

We have Outlook 2003 an the connector is 7.1.2.6331

Thank you in advance...

Best Regards
Tobias

That's the same as dragging it from the calendar to your new email. It looks like we haven't implemented this in ZCO. It just comes as a regular mail message instead of a calendar item.

I can certainly check to see if we can implement this and when. But as a workaround, you can do (these are Outlook 2007 instructions -- I haven't used 2003 in a while, but IIRC, it would be exactly the same for 2003):

Go into the calendar and select the appointment you want to attach

Hit Save As, and save it as an .ics file

Then when you're sending the email, you can use Attach File instead of Attach Item, and attach the .ics file

When the user gets the mail and clicks on the .ics, if he saves it, the meeting will go in his calendar

Will that work for you for now?
