How can you force config with untrusted server certificate?

I'm trying to configure an account in Outlook using the Zimbra Collaboration Server connector and it fails to create the account saying:

"Your account could not be validated against the Zimbra server.

Unable to establish a secure connection to the server because the identity of the server could not be verified due to a problem with the server's certificate."

The problem is, the administrator is not going to fix the certificate. How can I force Outlook and the Zimbra connector to let me create the account anyways? I have tried installing the certificate in Windows even in the trusted root certification authority, but it still won't let me create this account...
