so if you open the Dan Knox mailbox and view the sharing tab, somewhere it says that 'test' has been granted access to something? Can you attach that screenshot?

the first is from the test account opening dan's email. the second img is dan's actual email (seperate windows accounts too, same computer though).

to make sure the ACL got set on the server, open up Dan's mailbox using outlook and press send/recieve. Make sure there are no message in any of the SyncIssues child folders. Then open the test mailbox and click send/receive.

Default Sharing mail folders via Zimbra web client

mjfleck2000 gave a very nice rundown of how to share calendars through the web client and sam gave instructions to share a folder using the outlook connector.

Can someone give me the mojo to share my inbox with another user using the web client (to both do the sharing and accepting/viewing)?

Thanks.

4.0.4 ZCO has sharing functionality. You don't need 4.5. However, in 4.5 we have resolved many bugs.

Hi to all

finally got the outlook connector working correctly

The only way that I got it to work

change the security group membership for the user make them a memeber of administrator and domain admins.

log onto the workstation as that user

install the connector (which then writes the reg file and sets correct permissions)

setup the connector ie mail server account details etc.

log out - remove admin rights and domain admins

log on as normal then
open outlook -- open -- open users mailbox

works every time now

Paul
