in 4.5, the 'open shared calendar' link you clicked on is functional, but not in 4.0.3 or 4.0.4.

what can we do if the option "other users mailbox" is greyed out?

have you definately "shared" the calendar and you are the user or in the group allowed to view the calendar?

yes, i setup two test accounts and i have a windows XP machine running Outlook 2003 with two accounts on it tied to Zimbra for testing. I'll delete the accounts and try again to double check.

of course

I'm running it on RHEL4 with the Network Edition too. I'll let you know if deleting and redoing the account helped.

Ok this is what i did from beginning to end.

I created a test user 'foo@example.com' on my Zimbra server. I then logged foo into the windows 2000 machine and added the foo@example.com to my outlook 2003 application via the ZCS connector.

I created a second test user 'bar@example.com' and logged into windows 2000 with the account for bar, no foo (they have individual computer accounts too). I then setup bar@example.com for Outlook via the ZCS Connector.

So now both accounts are tied into Zimbra via the Outlook connector.

When i go to foo's account on outlook 2003 and try to share a contacts folder i made called 'company contacts', sharing is grayed out. I proceed to go to properties and the sharing tab is also missing from there. Any suggestions? This is a cleanly installed win2k/office 2003/ZCS Connector machine.

bar's account share's the same issue as foo's account.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hey sam, thanks again that was exactly it. However the sharing still isn't working. I'll review in detail what i did

1) on foo's account, i set bar to have review permissions on the sample contact folder "company contacts".
2) I then open's foo's mailbox on bar's account, and that worked successfully. however no folders except "search folders" were listed.
3) I then went back to foo's account and gave bar reviewer permissions at the root of the folder where it says "Zimbra - foo"
4) Under bar's account I closed and reopened the mailbox of foo, only still to see no folders except "search folders". I then right clicked and went to sharing to see it say name: test permission level: none . This was under bar's account opening foo's mailbox.

I hope this all makes sense.
