Default reg hacks for global address list search order

We are having a problem with our zcm connector for outlook. During the install, some computers did not get the GAL set as the primary address list to resolve address from. Is there a reg hack that can be pushed out to accomplish this so that we don't have to visit each computer? We are using version 6.0.5 of the connector

This one's a tough one. Are you referring to the setting in Address Book->Tools->Options - when opening the Address Book, show this address list first?

If so, this is a tricky one. I thought it would be in the registry under:

HKCU\\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\<profilename>

Under that there are a bunch of GUIDs and under those are a bunch of MAPI props. You might try setting it in Outlook, export the relevant profile key to a .reg file, then changing the setting, exporting again, and comparing the two reg files (might have to save as Western European 1252 if your diff program has issues). I did this a little bit, but in this case, couldn't really tell from the diffs which was the actual value. Some diffs are just revision numbers and times.

Not sure on this one. This scheme generally works for me, but I was having trouble with this one.

I'm actually looking for the reg settings controlling the search order under Address book, Tools, Options, "When sending mail, check names using these address lists in the following order:"

Ok -- this one looks much easier. Under that same place:

HKCU\\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\<profilename>

Look for the GUID (probably near the top):

0a0d020000000000c000000000000046

On the right side, there will be a MAPI property: 00033d1b

Looks like the REG_BINARY values are:

Contacts: 02 00 00 00
GAL: 01 00 00 00
Custom: 00 00 00 00

Good luck
