Default Setting up shares on Zimbra with Outlook and a Briefcase question

All,

Can a person share one of their folders from within Outlook, or do they have to logon to the Zimbra Web Client to do this?

Is the Briefcase feature accessible from Outlook somehow?

Does Zimbra have the equivalent of Exchange public folders?

Andrew

You can do it from Outlook. Right click on the folder, select Properties, then the Sharing tab. Briefcase is not accessible from Outlook. You can share some folders (like calendars) with the public. You'll see that when you hit Add on the sharing tab.

Thanks. That did it.

On the other side, do we Add Shared Calendar, or Open Internet Calendar?

In the web client, you would right click on Calendar, and say Share Calendar. Is that what you mean?

Sorry for not being clear.

After it is shared, what does the use who wants to open the Calendar do? In Outlook we can right click and go to Add Calendar. From there we can choose "from Internet" or "Add Shared Calendar." When I used Add Calendar, it said the folder could not be opened, though I verified the permissions were correct set on the sharing users side. I was wondering if we should use the Internet calendar option?
