Red face Outlook Express and IMAP IDLE

will the Zimbra "Outlook" connector to ZC server support the "Outlook Express" client as well?

Want as little bandwith used to notify my client of mailbox state changes in server as possible, hence interested in IMAP IDEL. What is the best way to configure IMAP IDEL for this purpose, server side, client side? thanks

No, of course it won't. Outlook and Outlook Express are not the same product. The ZCO is also a NE feature and for a connection to a Zimbra server only.

IMAP idle is already enabled in the Zimbra server, you need a mail client that uses IMAP idle (I'm not sure OE does) and it is not about saving bandwidth it's about getting notification of changes to your mailbox. If you want to find out if OE supports IMAP Idle then I'd suggest you ask on a Microsoft forum or use a decent mail client.
