ZCS Upgrade to 6.0.9 and ZCO Change

I was previously running ZCS 6.0.6 and last night successfully upgraded to 6.0.9. I also noticed there is a new version of the ZCO available, ZimbraOlkConnector-6.0.8_GA_2661_6.0.6058.8

Is there any documentation on what may be fixed or different in this version of the ZCO? I was previously using ZimbraOlkConnector-6.0.5_GA_2213_6.0.5846.5

Just want to see if I should have our users upgrade the connector or if there is no real benefit, obviously would use the new version moving forward.

As far as an upgrade goes, does it just install over it? (ZCO)

There's always details in the Release Notes on any significant changes to the products, further info can be found in bugzilla and the Product Portal for the specific release.

I also did check the Product Portal before posting, but I was looking for any changes in the ZCO not the ZCS itself. Maybe I'm missing it, but didn't see anything relative to changes in ZCO there.

Those are the OSS release notes. NE release notes are in the Support Portal at https://support.zimbra.com/node/41

But they are incomplete, and so is the ZCS NE download.

A yet newer version of ZCO is available in the support portal, under https://support.zimbra.com/downloads. "Zimbra is providing the following Zimbra Connector for Outlook outside of the standard release cycle. This is the 6.0.9 version of ZCO, but is not included in the ZCS 6.0.9 package distribution."

Very messy, but somewhat understandable given the rush to get out the openssl security patch.

The Release Notes are on the product download page where they always are. The ZCO is on the Support Portal and the one shipped with the current download is the 6.0.8 version.

Two issues here. The ZCO 6.0.9's features are covered in bugzilla: Bug 53409 - Special 6.0.9 ZCO

However, although it addresses a bug I'm interested in (47647), my testing turned up Bug 53631 - cancellation doesn't close message window, which seems to be new in this ZCO. So I've decided not to deploy it.

But, going from ZCO 6.0.5 to 6.0.8 offers a number of improvements and bug fixes. You can easily see them by looking at pm.zimbra.com for each of 6.0.6, 6.0.7, and 6.0.8, and then sorting first the requirements and then the fixed issues by Component. The biggest ones for us were 44425, 45236, 47645, 47752, and 47843.
