Default [SOLVED] Outlook connecter Zimbra buttons not appearing

Hello all.

I was installing the Zimbra Outlook on six computers at a customer site today. One of the machines crashed during the install.

After a hard reboot of the system, I reran the installer and chose the 'Repair' option.

I setup the Outlook profile and the server connection is working fine. The problem is that all the custom Zimbra buttons and menu options are not appearing in the menus. (i.e. GAL sync, Mailbox Quota, Filter Rules, etc.)

I tried to rerun the 'Repair' option in the installer but still no luck.
Uninstall doesn't work either... It throws "fatal error durring installation" error.

ZimbraOlkConnector-6.0.7_GA_2470_6.0.5981.7
XP SP3
Office 2007 SP1

Thanks. -Cheers, Peter.

The DLLs aren't getting registered. If uninstall doesn't work, you can try installing 6.0.8 over it. You should get rid of the DLLs first (in Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033.

If you get in a bad state, I may have to step you through cleaning out your registry.

Hi fsiegel,
I was able to manually register (using regsvr32) the add-in dlls in the folder you mentioned and the zimbra buttons appear now. It looks like the repair function of the installer does not check to see if the dlls are registered... might be something to look into adding...

Thanks for the pointers! :-)

-Cheers, Peter.
