| | | ZCO 5.0.23 and Outlook 2007 SP2 I've been having problems with a users Outlook 2003, so I decied to remove it and re-install 2007 to see if the same issues are happening. However, after Office installs and all the updates and SP's are installed, when I want to create a new profile, I'm getting stuck.
In the screenshot, if I hit next, nothing happens. It kind of flashes for a second and never goes forward. What's going on?

| | Sounds like a possible problem with the ZCO install. I would try uninstalling ZCO and installing it again. Outlook 2007 is different than 2003 in that it doesn't really use MAPISVC.INF in the same way. Try this and let me know what happens. |

| | | Ok so I uninstalled, and just wanted to see if the Zimbra Collaboration Server was in other, and it is. I think I have a leftover ZCO? How can I clean it out completely even after uninstalling?
Thanks!

| | That wouldn't necessarily mean that you have a leftover ZCO. Cab you post your mapisvc.inf file? [In Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\<lcid>]
lcid is 1033 for USA English |

| | Looks like you've got the right stuff in there. To see if you have a leftover ZCO, you could uninstall, and then check add/remove programs and see if there is still a ZCO in there. If so, I can help you clean out your registry. |

| | | Ok so I ran CCleaner.exe to see if it would clean out the remanants of ZCO, and unfortunately it's still showing in the above screenshot.
What method would you recommend to completely get it out of the registry?

| | First, uninstall the current version normally. Then with regedit, go through HKLM and HKCU and search for the string "ZCS Connector for Outlook", and delete the corresponding left pane items. Sometimes, you'll want to delete the whole GUID, like with something like:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ins taller\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products. Here, the GUID would have a child key called InstallProperties, where the DisplayName value would be ZCS Connector for Outlook. In this case, you would want to delete the whole GUID in the left pane (the parent of InstallProperties).
You've got to be really careful doing this stuff, especially if you are squeamish. You should back up your registry before.
Note that I am not recommending this approach unless you are really confident in your abilities not to mess up your registry. |

| | | so I tried searching through the registy for that string or variants thereof, and found nothing. Just the odd Outlook registry string.
I'm quite confident editing the registry just so you know!
Any other ideas i could try?
