Default Visual C++ Debug Library (Debug Assertion Failed)

Hello, I am in the process of installing the Zimbra connector for outlook 2003 on a machine and I keep getting the same error message repeatedly. The error occurs during the last stage of the syncing process. The error message is a follows:

"Debug Assertion Failed!
Program: C:\PROGRA~\MI1933~1\OFFICE11\OURLOOK.EXE
File: dbgheap.c
Line: 1143

Express: _CrtIsValidHeapPointer(pUserData)"

All help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a bug. What version of ZCO are you using, and what are you doing when you get the error? Also, do you have the latest version of Outlook 2003? You need SP3.

This sounds like what can happen if you allocate memory in one DLL and try to free it in another. We've had bugs like this in the past. So is this a new or old version?

Thanks for the quick response! The ZCO version is 6.0.6. When the error pops up it gives you the option to "Abort", "Retry", "Ignore", then outlook stops responding. I do have office sp3 installed. I have tried uninstall/reinstalling office 2003 and ZCO but didn't have any effect.

I didn't mean what do you do when the error occurs -- I meant what operation caused you to get the error in the first place?

Do you have any other suspicious Outlook addins installed?

The error occurs during stage 2 of 3 Send/Receive process.
