I have the server log, but of course it's a very large document. What should I be looking for? There is only a brief portion in which this user comes up.

In mailbox.log, at the same time (assuming there is no clock skew) that the Outlook user got the local failure, there should be a stack trace of a null pointer exception. If that's there, send me that trace.
