| | | Meeting appointments disappear Hi all,
I've got a client who is having a problem which sounds very similar to the one described in This thread, and I'm having extreme difficulty parsing the logs for any indication of success or failure. Below is the report from the client: Quote:
- Meeting appointments - When we schedule appointments from our
own calendars, invite other people to attend and then send the request,
the meeting immediately disappears from our calendar. To get around this
issue I have to add myself as an attendee, it then goes into my calendar
and I can update it as required. The other way of getting around this
problem apparently is to open a meeting, enter all the details, close the
meeting and then reopen and add attendees, although I haven't experienced
this myself.
| I haven't yet checked the registry setting suggested in the above thread, as I suspect this is not the same issue (given I'm using a much later Zimbra version).
This is a sporadic issue, and only happens on *some* appointments, but I haven't found a pattern between them.
Any guidance would be much appreciated .

| | Actually, I want to know what version of ZCO is the client who is having the problem using? Also, does the problem only happen if it takes a little while to construct the meeting request? (for example, it takes a couple of minutes, so the meeting request goes into the drafts folders, and is sent from there). |

| | | Hi fsiegel and thanks for your response,
Based on the log files, the Outlook connectors being used are 6.0.5736.2 and 6.0.5737.3 (though it looks like only one or two systems use the newer version based on the frequency in the logs).
I don't think there is really a noticeable delay in the meeting creation, but I'll confirm this with the client and let you know . It might take a while to get a response given it's coming up on Easter though.
Thanks,
Matt. |

| | If it's really true that you're using 6.0.2 or 6.0.3, then I am positive this is bug 43107, which was fixed in 6.0.4. That would also explain why it happens sporadically. The bug was that if it took more time to create the meeting than was set in the autosave setting in Outlook (usually 3 minutes), it would go to drafts folder, and be sent from there. The meeting would be created in the calendar, and then deleted from the drafts. But we were using the same id on the delete, so we would delete the calendar meeting as well.
FWIW, 6.0.6 is coming out on Monday. That would be the best version to go to. You can also go to 6.0.4 or 6.0.5. Someone on the forums was saying 6.0.5 had issues; I haven't seen that. In any case, I would get off of 6.0.2.
Hope this helps |

| | | Thanks fsiegel,
The client said that it does seem the problem happens only if the message goes to drafts first.
The versions you're talking about, are you referring to the versions of the Outlook Connector client, or the server version? If it's the server, then we're running 6.0.5 already, but if it's the client (which I said we're using 6.0.5736.[23]), then certainly we should try to upgrade that.
Thanks again! |

| | It's the Outlook connector client. I assume you mean you are using 6.0.5736.2, which is 6.0.2. That would have the bug. You need to be using at least 6.0.4, so the last number should be a 4. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | Why Join?
