Default zdb file size limit

Hi.

Is there a ZDB file size limit? A user has a ~20G ZDB file and is now getting messages about it being too big.

That's huge. I don't know if there is a hard limit -- I know that before Outlook 2007, Microsoft used to recommend no more than 2G. That has increased, but keep in mind that the larger the mailbox, the longer it takes to sync and the worse it will perform.

You can archive a lot of that data.

There is also a Compact facility in ZCO. With 6.0.4, it will tell you, your zdb is getting too big, and will compact for you. You can also compact from the configuration tab. Compacting saves a lot -- .zcb files keep growing, even if you delete emails.
