Default ZCO 6.0.5 + Outlook 2007: Disappearing Calendar Appointments

We keep experiencing the following, but we can't figure out how to reproduce it:

A person using Outlook 2007 w/ ZCO 6.0.5 creates a calendar appointment and invites 2+ attendees. Within 5 minutes, the calendar item disappears from the organizer's calendar, but remains on the invitee's calendars.

This is occurring as frequently as every 10th appointment scheduled, but we can't figure out what is causing it!

Is anyone else out there experiencing the same?

I've been getting reports of similar issues. We've been trying various ZCOs (5.0.x) to deal with the problem, but I'm not sure we've got it solved.

Some discussion can be found in this thread: Outlook Connector auto-trashing appointments

Please keep us updated since I'm sure you and I aren't the only ones seeing this.

It can't be bug 43107, fixed in 6.0.4. I assume this isn't a case of it going to the Drafts folder, etc.

This sounds terrible; I haven't seen this with 6.0.5. Could there be an issue with mobile phonse? I know iPhones, etc. had caused issues in the past. If you can find any discernible repro steps, please tell us.

Thanks

Default Outlook 2007 Calendar

I would like to confirm problems with 6.0.5, as well. Tested and confirmed on multiple workstations running ZCO 6.0.5 with Outlook 2007 Enterprise, on Windows 7 Professional/Ultimate & Server 2008 R2 Enterprise environments.

I was on Zimbra 6.0.2 with ZCO 6.0.2 throughout our network with no issues. Upgraded to 6.0.5 this weekend, updated ZCO on select machines. Machines updated to ZCO 6.0.5 would no longer synchronize calendar events. When adding a NEW calendar (other users calendar), the calendar gets added, but items do not populate.

For me, uninstalling 6.0.5 and reverting the connector to 6.0.2. resolved the issue.

I strongly recommend users stay way from ZCO 6.0.5 with Outlook 2007

Cheers,
Alex

There was a bug, 42970, that was introduced in 6.0.4, and which has been fixed in 6.0.6, that could be the culprit. If you have log files for 6.0.5, I could probably confirm if your calendar sync issue was because of that bug.

Perhaps as a test, I could send you a 6.0.6, just to see if this resolves your issue. The real 6.0.6 is slated to come out on 4/5.

Hi, I've sent you a PM requesting such a download as well. Could you please update us?

Perhaps I spoke a little too soon; I don't think it's a great idea to start sending pre-released versions out all over the forums. We are close to releasing this -- let me see if we can put it somewhere before Monday. It would just be a connector update.
