Default Assigning Tasks using Outlook and ZCS Connector

Running Zimbra 6.0.4 and interfacing it with Outlook 2007 and the latest ZCS Connector. Am trying to assign tasks to users in my group but keep getting errors that this is not supported by the service.
Can I not assign tasks to users using Outlook and interfacing with Zimbra? This would be a great failing, in my opinion.
If there is a workaround, I would be very grateful.

It doesn't work - a feature we also need desperately.

A feature request has been around for several years but Zimbra just haven't implemented it.

See here Bug 11497 – ZCO Tasks: Support for Task Requests and here Bug 15832 – Tasks: Need ability to assign tasks to someone else

Agreed. I am very dissappointed to learn that this has not yet been implemented. Hopefully, Zimbra will take notice and will update this RFE soon.

Yes. I thought this was going to be released at the end of last year.
