| | | [SOLVED] Free/Busy problems with 5.0.20 NE? Is anyone else using ZCO with 5.0.20 NE? Sometime over the weekend, free/busy stopped working, but only for Outlook.
1. Create a new meeting in outlook and click on the scheduling button.
2. Type an attendee in the 3rd column and hit return.
Expected: attendee autocompletes as necessary and free/busy data is shown.
Actual: attendee autocompletes but the row shows diagonal line pattern ("No information") and I get a popup alert from the Outlook icon in the System Tray. Alert reads:
Microsoft Office Outlook
An error occurred reading Internet free/busy data. General failure. The URL was:
(Where zimbrahost is the FQDN of the zimbra domain and X is the first letter of the attendee's account.)
*****
I have tried the following:
Restart Outlook
Restart Windows XP
Install the prerelease connector 5.0.3227.22
Restart ZCS
None of these has any effect on the problem.
I am suspecting a bug related to the change from 2009 to 2010. |

| | Same problem started to happen to me as well. Using ZCO 5.0.3191.20 and I believe 5.0.15 of the server. HELP! |

| | Bug 43787. I found it as well. This came from the fix for bug 38635, where you can publish more than 2 months worth of f/b info. We mess with windows time structures to figure out the parms to add to the f/b string. The new year causes us to put bad things in there, so the end date calculation is wrong. When I tried it, it came out to 427 days, which is more than the 366 allowed. That's why the error happens.
It will be fixed in 5.0.22
As a workaround (and a bad one it is), you can just yank out the &s and &e parameters in the free/busy options search location. Tools->Options->Calendar Options->Free/Busy Options. Problem is, you'll have to do it every time you go into Outlook, since we update it every time. |

| | If I change it to one month worth of f/b in the options will that help? How come not everyone in my office is not having this problem. Is there an older ZCO I should try as another work around because changing the settings everytime in Outlook isn't going to cut it and who knows when my IT dept will upgrade the server to 5.0.22 when it's out.

| | | Ah I suspected it was that bugfix that introduced this. I have a support case open. However if you're willing to use an older connector, ZCO 5.0.18 doesn't have the problem, and I'll bet 5.0.19 won't, either. Can we get the .19 connector in the support site until a revised .22 is available? |

| | 5.0.19 doesn't have the problem either. I'm not exactly sure why everyone wouldn't have the problem,. but maybe it has to do with the time of day, since we're manipulating the time structure. I didn't delve into the code that deeply. As far as changing it to one month -- it wouldn't matter. We update the search string every time you enter Outlook. |

| | I noticed from some other posts that some people mention it also may have something to do with an expired Certificate on the Server? Is this relevant?
Thanks. |

| | Cert issues can also cause F/B errors, yes. |

| | | I'm on 6.0.4 and it looks like this is broken for all my Outlook users, too. The proposed solution thus far is to tell the executives that they will be down for a month until 6.0.5 comes out. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | Why Join?
