Default Shared calendars in Outlook - Mounted searchfolders?

Hi,
When a user mounts a calendar share he will also get a mount in his mailbox only containing empty searchfolder. Does this mount have to be there? For a user with 40 calendar shares, he wil get 40 searchfolder mountspoint too. It's kinda messy. Can I remove the searchfolder mount and still have the calendar shared?

I don't think you can remove it (not at a place where I can try that at the moment). But if you can, it shouldn't make any difference to whether or not the calendar is shared. We don't really do Open Other User's Folder -- we do Open Other User's Mailbox. They both work the same, meaning that we mount everything you have shared in the store. We don't specifically do anything with Search Folders.

Thank you for your answer

I can choose to close the folder. The other users folder/mailbox with an empty searchfolder is automatically mounted in Outlook when I choose open other user's mailbox.. when the only thing I want to mount is the calendar. So it will not effect the shared calendar when I remove the folder/mailbox with empty searchfolder?

No -- it should not affect the shared calendar. You should be fine if you remove the Search Folder link. I'll look into getting rid of that, but I'm not sure it's possible without lots of work.
