Default ZCO 6.0 - Issues

We upgraded our system to NE 6.0 yesterday and all went relatively smooth. However ZCO 6.0 is a little different animal. When we installed the connector, none of the Zimbra options showed in Outlook. Toolbar was not there, none of the option items under any of the menus. I removed and reinstalled several times, each time removing the Zimbra related files, such as .zbd then uninstalling the connector.

I finally went back to the latest version of 5.18 and low and behold .... everything is back as it should. Anyone else having these issues? I'm on Outlook 2007 SP2 MSO.

Thanks in advance!

There may be an install issue with 6.0 -- I have heard of this happening. After installing 6.0, if you still don't see our menu items, try these commands:

cd \Program Files\Common Files\system\MSMAPI\1033 (assuming USA)
regsvr32 /u /s LSMSSP32.dll
regsvr32 /u /s SharingAddin.dll
regsvr32 /u /s ShutdownAddin.dll
regsvr32 /s LSMSSP32.dll
regsvr32 /s SharingAddin.dll
regsvr32 /s ShutdownAddin.dll

Let me know what happens after you try this.

Also experienced this issue on a new/fresh install of ZCO v6. I've filed a bug for this, please vote!

Bug 40876 – ZCO v6 fails to register DLLs. All ZCO menu items are missing

I assume you mean that your boss is not seeing your task list in Outlook. Did your boss do File->Open Other User's Mailbox? In ZCO, we're not yet automatic with mounting stores.

I have basically this same problem after an upgrade from 5.0.18GA to 6.0.1GA.

After installing the 6.0.1 msi, started Outlook. It failed with the following error:

Zimbra MAPI was unable to load the information service LSMSSP.DLL

Removing the msi, and data store, and then going into control panel and removing the profile, then finally reinstalling the msi brought Outlook back. However, all the zimbra menu choices were gone. (e.g. Open other user's mailbox, Zimbra Server Rules, Out of Office Assitant, Mailbox Quota.)

Just ran the regsvr32 commands listed in post two, and everything appears to be back now. Bit nervous about doing this for all of the workstations in the office though.

Bug 40876. Fixed in 6.0.2. Running the regsvr 32 commands, although a pain, should not cause any issues.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I put the following in a .bat file on the server share with the msi update (so I could not get in trouble with any misspellings):

C:

cd \Program Files\Common Files\system\MSMAPI\1033
regsvr32 /u /s LSMSSP32.dll
regsvr32 /u /s SharingAddin.dll
regsvr32 /u /s ShutdownAddin.dll
regsvr32 /s LSMSSP32.dll
regsvr32 /s SharingAddin.dll
regsvr32 /s ShutdownAddin.dll

The upgrade went fine on the second workstation. On the third however, when I attempt to start Outlook I get:

"The add-in SharingAddin.dll could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect & Repair on the Help menu."

Then Outlook (all workstations running Office 2003) closes. I ran the batch manually, and it all seems fine. Rebooted the system, ran the MSI again and did a repair install. Ran the MSI to remove it (did not remove profile) and then ran the MSI yet again to install again. All with same error.

Suggestions?

Will 6.0.2GA be released soon?
