dueling add-ins in Outlook

Has anyone encountered this? You install the Zimbra Connector for Outlook
(2003 or 2007) and a previously installed, working add-in (in my case Live Meeting 2007 scheduler) ceases to work. This is a pretty consistant melt-down on multiple XPsp3 machines, again with both Outlook 2003 and 2007.

The problem seems to center around midi and their corresponding DLLs.

Does Zimbra *need* to be the 400 lb gorilla in the room, or can we all learn how to get along?

What version of the ZCO are you using?

If you could update your profile with the output from:

zmcontrol -v

That'll help everyone give you answers tailored more specific to your situation in the future.

Sorry. I did a bit of updating.

For the most part, this is Oulook 2003 SP3 on Windows XP sp3

using Zimbra Connector for Outlook 5.0.2992.16

which is conflicting with Microsoft Live Meeting 2007 / Conferencing add-in for Microsoft Office 8.0.6362.128

HOWEVER

I have tried this with Outlook 2007 on XP sp3
I have tried it with Outlook 2003 SP2 on XP sp2
I have tried it with versions of the Zimbra connector from 12 through 18

the end result is the same in each case:

the LM addin works fine *before* you install the Zimbra connector and does not email out the invitation *after* Zimbra is installed.

I also think that the Live Meeting addin causes our addin not to work properly either. I am working on that. Maybe that fix will help this case too. Will let you know.
