Default Windows Desktop Search issue Outlook 2003

I am using http://www.microsoft.com/windows/des...e/default.mspx

When I started up the zimbra profile and went to change the Windows Desktop search exchange indexing I got the message attached here.

Does anyone know if this is a problem or not?

We've not test with this desktop search tool. So hard to say if it will cause problems or not.

It seems to work fine with Zimbra although I had to fiddle a few times with the WDS advanced options.

Could you post the details of what you did to fix it, just in case anyone else has the problem.

Well I am not 100% sure but what happens but if you are running multiple profiles Windows Desktop Search will only index the default outlook profile. If you are setting up from the start it is fine but if not and you are testing Zimbra then you will likely have multiple profiles. I found it came good after changing to Zimbra as the default profile in the Control Panel. Rebooted the computer. Went back into Windows Desktop Search. Setup custom folders and email options. Problem I now have is I can not get it back to my standard profile and have all the additional PST files indexed so I think I am going to have to remove, reinstall and reindex using WDS. Hang on I just worked it out. You select restore defaults in the Windows Desktop Search, shutdown the application. Restart WDS and then select custom and then set the outlook files you want to index.
