Default Opening Shared Calendars in Outlook

Hey Guys,

What the roadmap on getting the Outlook Connector to be able to open another users calendar. I have people that are currently using Outlook/Exchange just for calendaring. They share their calendars with their admin assistants who enter all their appointments/reminders for them in Outlook. Right now the only way I can see to do this is to create a different profile with the executives zimbra info. I really don't want the admin assistants to have full access to the executives email....just the calendar. In Outlook they have it setup shared on the Exchange server and they just click a link in the Outlook bar to open. They need to keep using Outlook instead of adding cal events in the web client. Can we get something like this in the next release of the Outlook connector?

Thanks,
Bill

It's something we aer working on. Unclear if it will be in the next release. Best bet is file a support request so you can be added to the list of folks interested in this feature.

Done and Done. Also threw in a bugzilla enhancement request. This is a big one for us....as I kind of used this as an argument to sell my CEO on zimbra. I knew the connector would give use access to the calendar but didn't realize you cant open shared calendars until i tried. guess thats what i get for not reading the fine print.

You may. It's high on the list and planned for the next release, but voting can't hurt.

Default OUtlook Calendar

The offline support still seems to be critical in our sales process. I submitted a ticket via email to support the addiition in the release as well.

thanks,

Are you talking about the Network Edition of Zimbra? I guess you are as you're in that forum, what error message do you see (if any) when you try this with the outlook connector? Have you sent exact details of the problem in your mail to Zimbra?
