So is it possible that another rule is being processed first, and then the rule you want is then ignored? What happens if you move the rule in question up to the top (using the up arrow). [Then Apply, Then Sync]

Also, I would use Contains

Ok, now I feel like an idiot.

I created a rule that when sent from an external account addressed to me directly, move it to a folder and it worked. I used Contains.

I next created a rule that would after arriving in the Inbox, move the email to my support folder. If an email is addressed to the actual email account of the distribution list the rule works as expected. If however, the arriving email is addressed to an alias of the distribution list, the rule fails.

Well kinda sorta ....

How do we get the rule to react to the alias for the distribution list? The rule will only hold true if the exact email address is used.

I just tried creating the rule with the aliases of the distro list included in the rule along with the actual email address and it failed.

With the alias included, what does the rule look like? (maybe a screenshot). Did you use contains?

I suppose you could just create another rule for the alias.

Default Rules/Alias Issue Resolved

After creating a "Zimbra Server Rule" that included just the alias for my distribution list, the rules work as expected!

Thanks fsiegel for all your help.
