Default Filters - Bug or Design?

So THOUGHT I created a Zimbra Server Rule in Outlook that said

If a mail is from person x AND had specific words in the subject AND had an attachment then delete it

What I ACTUALLY created was

If a mail is from person x OR had specific words in the subject OR had an attachment then delete it

To my way of thinking if multiple criteria are selected these should be ANDed together not ORed. To make matters worse the emails seem to be permanently deleted rather than sent to Trash. Additionally the only way to change this was through the web interface for the filters where I changed the condition to match only if ALL conditions are met

Using Outlook 2003SP3 with ZCO 5.0.2913.15 and Server 5.0.15_GA_2850

Is this by design or have I missed something?

Thanks

On the last page of the Zimbra rules Wizard (Finish Rule setup) you should select All Conditions instead of Any condition.

As for permanently deleting the email, this is how the Zimbra server works. If you want it in the trash, instead of deleting, you should say "File into folder" Trash (server side) or "Move to the trash folder" (Outlook side).

Perhaps we should do what Outook does and have a "delete" and "permanently delete" as conditions.

But we do have everything you need to do now, but perhaps it's not as intuitive as it could be.
