Default Strange characters inserted into email body

We have a few users who at random times get strange characters inserted into the text of emails/invitations that they send out. I have not been able to find a pattern in the occurrences. It appears to have something to do with the HTML output that Outlook generates for the email body text. An example (from a recent meeting invitation) appears below:

"I am sending out a reminder for tomorrow’s class (below). If this already appears on your calendar, you don’t need to accept it again."

The strange characters appear in both the web client view and Outlook view of a corrupted email.

We're using Outlook 2007 SP1 and ZCO 5.0.13.

Some more examples. One user (who experiences this more often than others) says that she sees this happen more with meeting invitations.

"Employee highlighted does not have emailۉâEUR¬ÂJohn Doe, please notify."

"John Smith â€EURoe â€EURoe 6115 & 6116"

Outlook does strip some meeting request info in the calendar appointment.

We have had bugs in this area:

25894 -- fixed in 5.0.6
31749 -- fixed in 5.0.11
35600 -- fixed in 5.0.16

These are bugs just on the Outlook side. If the problem characters appear in the web client and Outlook was never in the picture at all, or they appear in regular mail messages, then these bugs don't apply.

If they do, upgrading to 5.0.16 may fix this.
