No, it is not fixed in zco 5.0.16. We are opting not to install SP2.

I'm sure that Zimbra knows that we'd like to see the fix already completed and slated for 5.0.17 QA'd and released before the rest of .17, but they've got other issues, and we'd all like to see 6.0, too.

(Personally, I think this is a fairly cosmetic bug... but I understand that having every single Outlook user call to complain is expensive.)

TerKa-Ming - Looks like the Zimbra guys have scheduled this bug to be fixed in 5.0.17:

Bug 37146 – Sender shows as "unknown" after applying Outlook 2007 SP2 Hotfix

the fix is integrated to 5.0.16 line too.
So you may ask support to provide latest 5.0.16 ZCO build.

Support told me today that they would be publishing a 5.0.16.1 release of ZCO to address this issue on the support portal in "the next day or so".

We are currently running ZVS server version 5.0.9. Is it possible to give ZCO for Outlook version 5.0.16.1 to our users?

5.0.16.1 should now be on the support portal. We don't really recommend that you run it against a 5.0.16 server. I suppose you could try it, but it's much better to upgrade the server.

Default This is caused by a recent Patch, Not SP2

One of these patches pushed out by Microsoft via Automatic Updates caused this problem sometime over the weekend. I'm not sure of the specific patch, but it's one of the following.

In case this could help you, here is the list of the updates I applied today:
KB969897 (for IE7)
KB969682 (Excel 2007)
KB969604 (Word 2007)
KB969559 (2007 Microsoft Office System)
KB969613 (2007 Microsoft Office System)
KB969679 (2007 Microsoft Office System)
KB961501 (Server 2003)
KB968537 (Server 2003)
KB970238 (Server 2003)
KB969907 (Outlook 2007)
KB970012 (Outlook 2007 Junk Email filter)
KB969898 (ActiveX killbits for Server 2003)
KB890830 (Windows MSRT-June 2009)

Anyone who narrows it down wins the prize! And hopefully it can be uninstalled.

There is a 5.0.16.2 version of ZCO, which is our latest. The "Unknown" problem is fixed in there

I recently installed ZCS 5.0.16 and I was under the impression that ZCO 5.0.16.1 would be in the downloads section of the Admin console.

This is my version of ZCS: 5.0.16_GA_2921.RHEL5_64_20090429021719 RHEL5_64 NETWORK edition

a) Is the 5.0.16.1 version of ZCO not included?

b) Are you recommending upgrade of ZCS from 5.0.16 in order to use 5.0.16.1 and 5.0.16.2?

c) If so, where is the upgraded version of ZCS? It's not in the Support Portal or linked from it, that I can see.

a) ZCO 5.0.16.2 is on the support portal. They're not re-spinning the ZCS download. You can stick it in /opt/zimbra/jetty/webapps/zimbra/downloads/ if you want.

b) I'm sure that was a typo... he meant that the previous poster should upgrade ZCS from 5.0.9.

c) 5.0.16 is latest (you need to get ZCO separately), but 5.0.17 is probably due "soon."
