Default Forwarding / Reassigning Tasks

Many of our users are accustomed to using Outlook with Microsoft Exchange. With Exchange, they had the ability to forward tasks to other recipients -- and to assign existing tasks to new parties.

This functionality appears to be missing from the Outlook Connector, as it generates a dialog box error message saying the feature is not supported.

Any work-around or planned implementation?

The way to do it is via a shared tasks folder. Its a bit cleaner, no emails to send back and forth and you get direct real-time visibilty to the state of a task.

Yes, we have a shared tasks folder, but the functionality is limited compared to Exchange. For example, if a task is created and assigned to John Doe. And John Doe then receives the task and wishes to delegate and assign it to Jane Doe, he does not have the ability to "Forward" the task. When doing to, a dialog box indicates that this feature is not supported.

Its a point of view thing I guess. Yes, you cannot send tasks over email with ZCO. If John Doe wanted to delegate a task, he could move it to the new owners task folder.
