Default Set Sync Token

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how the 'Set sync token' button in the Zimbra support toolbar works?

Thanks in advance,

Every time we sync, we keep track of where we are by the sync token, which is a number. So you just enter a number in that edit field, and you will sync from that point.

Let's say you had a local failure, and it tells you the sync token, say 100. Suppose whatever caused the local failure has been fixed, and now you want to get that appointment synced to Outlook. You can do Set Sync Token and enter 99, and it will sync that appointment down.

See bug 31287.

Default How to use it?

If my sync token is, say, 66657 (which seems like a very large number to me), and I want to force a re-sync, should I set the token to one less, like 66656?

Every time you sync, the number increases by 1. So it depends how far back you want to go. Setting it to 66656 will bring it back to the last sync before the one you just did. You probably want to go back a little farther, but it's up to you.
