    Default No Categories on Shared Contacts

    We have users migrating from Exchange. They have shared contacts with a number of assigned categories. However when they share them using Zimbra + ZCO the categories are not propagated.

    When I check the mailbox where the contacts are shared from, the categories are visible - it is just users who are sharing the contacts do not see them.

    Any ideas?

    This is not supported yet. See bug 30523 (which depends on server bug 5210)

    Have you any idea when this is going to be fixed? We have been chasing this since 2006/2007. It is a major issue for users migrating from Exchange as they often use public folders with tagged contacts for mailing lists, etc

    This particular issue has put off many of our customers from migrating from Exchange, the particular customer that has flagged this today has 7500 users on Exchange but they all use and need categories on the public address books.

    If you're an NE customer then raise a support case and get it added to the bug reports (mention the bug numbers and your reasons in your support email) and also vote on them.

    Hi Bill, yes we are a NE customer - I did vote on it a few years back. I'll open a support case. Do you think we can get this fixed soon?
