[SOLVED] Connector fails to install on Win 2000

Hi,

I noticed that a couple of people ran into similar problems, but none of the proposed solutions seems to work for me. In my case installation of Outlook connector v. 5.0.2817.11 fails on a Windows 2000/SP4 box running Outlook 2003 with SP3. 'msiexec /l' gives the following final error message: 'Aborting profile creation as profile creation event never got set'.

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Since I've been talking to myself all thread long, I might as well finish this off by providing the solution: looks as if the MAPI directory path never got set (see above install log excerpt). Manually adding 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033' to the PATH environment variable did the trick.

Hope this will help someone else.
