Zcs Slow

I've got a problem with zcs..when i open outlook 2003 in the morning sometimes it takes about 10 minutes to let me see my inbox. Seems like last time ZCS didnt close properly and it try to recheck the local db. Any suggest? Anyone knows how to disable this function?
