Default Unknown user in meeting requests

Hi All,

I have a user currently running Outlook 2007 with Zimbra Connector 5.0.2767.10 (also has Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.7.0.32) creating meetings and inviting other users. Regardless of how many people are invited to these meetings a "Unknown" user is added as an attendee with unknown as their email address.

This has become frustrating as any changes that are made to these meetings a bounce email is received for the unknown email address.

We are currently running Zimbra NE 5.0.10_GA_2638 and I am yet to patch it with the 5.0.10 patch released recently.

Have any of you come across this before? As it's supposedly been an ongoing issue from previous editions.

Any help greatly appreciated

Default same problem

Hi, I have the same problem and I haven't been able to solve it. I upgraded the blackberry desktop manager to 4.6 but it still happens. Have you had any luck with this?

Am currently using zimbra 5.0.6.

There is a recently new bug fixed caused by SP2, where the sender of a mail will show as 'unknown' in the sent folder. This may not be related to this issue, but it may be worth upgrading to the latest connector to see if this corrects this issue.

Bug 37146 – Sender shows as "unknown" after applying Outlook 2007 SP2 Hotfix

The new connector can be downloaded from the Zimbra Support portal.
