Post 5.0.11 The Zimbra Addin has experienced a serious error. Try restarting Outlook again

When upgrading from 5.0.9 to 5.0.10, some users got an error message

Code:
The Zimbra Addin has experienced a serious error. Try restarting Outlook again.
Those were users who also had certain items not sync in the past, getting "Local Failure Notices".

I think this may have been in relation to Bug 32309.

Today, server and the affected clients were upgraded to 5.0.11 but the issue still exists!

I've been seeing this with one user in particular. I recreated his account in Outlook 2003 and it's still having issues. Others with Zimbra connecter are working fine.

I ended up removing Office entirely along with the connector. I scrubbed the drive with CCleaner to remove excess registry entries and temp files. I then reindexed his account just to be sure. Then with a new, clean install of MS Office, I loaded the outlook connector before setting up a new account. At this point I connected to Zimbra and synced everything. This portion was working finally. Once Outlook and Zimbra were playing nicely, I was able to import his old PST file and it all worked this time.

I can't remember, but I think there was also a Zimbra update at some point.

That sounds like an awful lot of work.

This is a new laptop with a clean install of office so not worth all that.

I've installed zdesktop and he has agreed to use it, which is quite a result!
