| | | Can't see Inbox in Outlook I've installed the Outlook Connector with no problems. I decided not to use the profile that it created for me because I have several accounts set up in my default Outlook profile.
When I go into my default Outlook profile, I add a new account. When asked what type of acount, Exchange, POP, IMAP, or Other, I select "Other". I then see "Zimbra Collaborative Suite" and add it. My Zimbra account now shows up in Outlook but it does not show me the Inbox.
It does show all other folders, including Trash... and it puts deleted items in the Trash folder (unlike IMAP).
So how do I get access to my Inbox via Outlook??? |

| | It's not a supported option to add Zimbra to an existing profile. Does it work fine for you if you use the profile that the installer creates? |

| | | I had the same problem. I think, off the top of my head, that I had to go change an option in Outlook which told it where to put incoming mail (global inbox vs. inbox per profile). That gave me an Inbox again. |

| | How do you tell Outlook to use separate Inboxes Your post indicates there is a way to enable multiple inboxes in Outlook as a solution to installing a Zimbra type account into an existing profile. I can't find how to do that. Can you provide a tip?
Thanks,

I changed the "deliver incoming mail" from "personal" to "Zimbra" but it's still empty : is there a way to force a "per folder" sync ? |

| | | I can't remember what I did to get multiple "inbox"es in Outlook in March when I was first testing Zimbra. However, I had the same problem this time when we started rolling out zimbra in production. It turns out that my normal mail client is Thunderbird (which is the default mail client on my windows laptop). The ZCO installer doesn't check to see which is the default mail client and assumes Outlook is. If this isn't the case, (as on my laptop), then it causes weird problems with using Outlook with Zimbra. One of the observed effects was that I didn't have an Inbox in my Zimbra account. I had to uninstall the ZCO, make outlook my default mail client, reboot, and then install ZCO again for things to start working properly.
I don't know whether this helps your particular case though.

| | | Hmm I see.
Outlook is not my default mail client (Thunderbird neither), it's currently Zimbra (thanks to the beta toaster).
Seems I have to try your solution, but I don't like it at all...
Especially the 2 hours sync.

| | Has anyone filed a bug on this one? |

| | | Not yet.
I wanted to be sure I was not the only one with such behaviour.
I want to test the desintall - reinstall ZCO (after setting Outlook as default) to open the bug too. |
