Default Outlook Connector Problem:

Some of our users get this problem with the outlook connector on xp/outlook 2003 when sending mails: (connector and server 5.0.7)

Microsoft Visuel C++ Debug Library:

Debug Assertion Failed
Program: ...Office\Office12\OUTLOOK.EXE
File: ...franklin-507/mapi/src/sharingaddin/addin.cpp
Line: 1610

Expression: g_pAddinInstance
...

Any ideas?
The mail gets sent, though...

No success. The regsrv32 thing gives an error. Can not register.

Any other ideas?

This is very annoying!

Thanks

Christian

What error? Is it 80070005? Maybe you don't have proper permissions for the registry?

The user uses Vista. He just opens the command line and enters the regsrv32 thing.

What should he do?

the command they should run is

regsvr32 sharingaddin.dll in the folder where that dll lives.
if the dll isn't there, you'll get an error.

i also believe that you should get some zco logs when you try to do it.

Under vista he should use an elevated command prompt.
That is because of UAC feature.
Run cmd.exe as Administrator and run this command there.
