Default Iphone & Outlook via Zimbra

Hi all,

I am brand new to this, since yesterday to be precise. A colleague showed me Zimbra and it looks very interesting.

What I am looking for is a tool to be able to sync effortlessly my Outlook 2007 emails, contacts, tasks, and calendar with my Apple Iphone.

Is the Zimbra Connector what I should be looking at or should I be looking at something else to achieve this please?

Many thanks in advance,
Antony

Welcome to the forum.

ZCO is the tool you're looking for to sync a ZCS server (hosted one or your own) and Outlook 2007. It works very nicely but needs a "Network Edition Pro" licence.

Outlook 2007 and iPhone and ZCO don't get along together. At all. It's related to an Apple bug (iPhone only likes .pst files) that is not fixed yet. See here : iPhone - iTunes - Outlook 2007

In june, Apple will release firmware 2.0 for the iPhone. This firmware will be able to sync directly to the ZCS server (as long as the server runs Network Edition and that Zimbra Mobile is enabled for your account)

Default Anyway to test Zimbra with Iphone?

Hi again,

Thank you for your answer. In short, is there a way I can test Zimbra functionality with my Iphone? It seems in principal something that could be very useful in my day to day business in managing mail, calendar, tasks etc...

I have access to a server, so if it requires that, I will also need to know server configuration requirement information.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Best wishes,
Antony
