Exclamation Outlook Connector and multiple GALs

Have 3 domains - just upgraded from 4.10 to 5.04.

With previous version, GAL in Outlook would show all users from all domains, as well as up to two aliases for each user.

Now with new version - multiple aliases are hidden - very nice.

Issue, GAL only shows users primary domain. Tried running (as zimbra):

zmprov mcf zimbraGalInternalSearchBase ROOT

No change for Outlook users. GAL in web client works properly (shows all domains.) I did not check the webclient before running command above - so do not know if the system was all ready working. Suggestions?

TIA,
-Keith

Did you adjust zimbraGalSyncInternalSearchBase as well?

Default Outlook Connector migration issues

Migrating from 4.5.10 to 5.0.4 (and Outlook connector 5.0.3) - for some Outlook clients - upgrade appears to go smoothly, but they never receive email into their inbox from the previous night. Syncing as well as the Repair option of Outlook connector does not help.

Each time - the failed upgrades show a sync error in the folder:
Sync Issues > Local Failures

What seems to fix the issue for me:

1) Backup everything to a .pst (have not needed any of this yet - but just in case).

2) Uninstall the Outlook connector

3) Reinstall Outlook connector and sync

Hope this helps,
-Keith

Sorry - which section should I have put that in?

Can you send me the command for adjusting:

zimbraGalSyncInternalSearchBase

TIA,

-Keith

Already moved it to Zimbra - Forums > Desktop Connectors > Zimbra Connector for Outlook

Same way you set zimbraGalInternalSearchBase on global or domain level.
zmprov mcf zimbraGalSyncInternalSearchBase ROOT
(or zmprov md domain.com zimbraGalSyncInternalSearchBase ROOT)

Default That fixed it - thanks

Running (as zimbra user):
Code:
zmprov mcf zimbraGalInternalSearchBase ROOT

zmprov mcf zimbraGalSyncInternalSearchBase ROOT
and now the users can see addresses from any of our domains in the GAL.

Thanks again! I also appreciate all the fixes and upgrades from the 4.10.5 series.

Well I'm running ZCS 5.0.2 running 2 domains that needed to share their GAL and the following, as you've suggested above, has worked a treat:

zmprov mcf zimbraGalInternalSearchBase ROOT
zmprov mcf zimbraGalSyncInternalSearchBase ROOT

Thanks for that.

What I have now in the GAL is a few extra Users, that I'm certain are Zimbra mandetory users, but I wish to exclude them from the GAL.
They don't appear as mailboxes, so the "Hide from GAL" option is not going to work for me...but I would love to learn how to exclude:

zimbra
zmamavis
zmpostfix
zmreplica

Thanks in advance,
Anthony.
