Default E-mail flooding ... possible Connector problem

Hi,

An e-mail was sent from an address to another address, both on our server.
In 28 minutes on the second address were received hundreds of copies of the sent e-mail. The person who sent the e-mail said she saw the message staying in the Outbox folder from Microsoft Outlook 2003. Then she deleted the message and the flooding stopped. She recalls having the same problem once half a year ago. She has Windows XP Home with SP2 and Zimbra Outlook Connector 4.5.10. The version of Zimbra is 4.5.10.

Can you help me solve the issue?

Thank you,
Sebastian.

Hey Sebastian,
Did this message have a particular attachment?

You might enable logging so if it happens again we have some data to work from: Outlook Troubleshooting Options - ZimbraWiki
You can also examine the server side logs /var/log/zimbra & those in /opt/zimbra/log/

I have seen this message stuck issue before, but in order for us to make advances it's best if you're running the latest server & connector versions.

5.0.4 is live!
4.5.11 & 5.0.2 Released!

The message has no attachment. It’s just a simple e-mail.

While upgrading to the most recent version is not an immediate option, we can definitely enable the logging, which is something we were un-aware of.

Thanks for the input,
Sebastian.
